Cancer Treatment in India

Cancer is the name given to a collection of related diseases. There are more than 100 types of cancers. In all types of cancer, some of the body’s cells begin to divide without stopping and spread into surrounding tissues.

It can originate from almost anywhere in the human body, which is made up of trillions of cells. Normally, human cells grow and divide to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place. When cancer develops, however, this orderly process breaks down. As cells become more and more abnormal, old or damaged cells survive when they should die, and new cells form when they are not needed. These extra cells can divide without stopping and may form growths called tumors.

Growth in Technology and relentless efforts by scientists, now there are several treatments available worldwide to cure and treat the deadly disease. However the treatments depend upon the type of cancer you have and how advance it has spread in your body.

Some people with cancer will have only one treatment. But most people have a combination of treatments, such as surgery with chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. You may also have immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or hormone therapy.

It may appear very difficult to understand what treatment you should opt for, but a thorough conversation with the concerned doctor may satisfy you for the best treatment.
